About Me
My name is Joanne Scurrah and I am qualified in Equine Sports Massage and Bowen Therapy covering the area of Yorkshire treating people and horses. I have had a love of horses from an early age and new this was the career path that I wanted to take, whilst still at school my Saturday job was riding out at the local racing stables. When leaving school I went to work on a thoroughbred stud farm on Harewood Estate while also attending college taking BHS exams (BHS III). I then went to work in Gloucestershire at a top polo yard (Down Farm for Clare Tomlinson) during the summer, then in the winter I worked in polo yards around the world, which included Australia, Jamaica, Palm Spring and St Moritz. During recent years I have been involved with the Pony Club with my two sons, who have been actively enjoying Showjumping, Cross-country and Tetrathlons/Triathlons.
My qualifications are:-
- The college of Animal Physiotherapy – Equine Sports Massage (ESM)
- European School of Equine Bowen Therapy – Equine Bowen (EBT)
- European College of Bowen Studies – Human Bowen Technique (cert C.B.S)
- ITEC Dip – Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology
- Emergency first aid at work
- BHS III – (stage 3)
